How many years have you been practicing yoga? 15 years

How many years have you been teaching yoga? 10 years

What training and certifications have you completed? I’m a Tier 2 Certified Baptiste Vinyasa Yoga Teacher and certified with the Yoga Alliance as a 500hr ERYT. I’ve attended Level One Training, Level Two Training and Level Three Training with the Baptiste Institute and am currently participating in their FIT to Lead Program. In addition to Baptiste Yoga, I’m also certified in Level One Thai Yoga Massage.

What brought you to yoga? I was consistently injured and thought I’d have to give up running. In fact, yoga gave me the strength and resilience to continue my running career.

Why do you practice yoga? It clears the plate for new inspiration.

Why do you practice Baptiste Yoga? I love the connection to breath, body and mind in addition to the strength of the global yoga community!

Why do you teach yoga? It allows me to be in creation and share my passion as contribution.

What does yoga empower you to do? Slow down and listen

What is your favorite yoga pose? Side crow

What pose do you have a complicated relationship with? Warrior one

What is your favorite song to listen to or play during a class? The music of my breath 

Do you have another professional life? Yoga is my full-time gig, but I also teach a pool running class.  

When you’re not on your mat, what can we find you doing? Running, walking my dog, and reading yoga philosophy and anatomy books

What would you tell someone thinking about trying yoga? Do it today! It’s never too late. You’re never too old, out of shape, injured, tired, etc.
